In the 18th issue of Contemporary Czech Art we speak with Anna Kubelík. She is an architect and artist. Science, music and architecture play an important role in her practice. Therefore, she often collaborates with musicians, dancers or specialists of diverse fields. The context always determines the content, form, material and dimension of her work. There is always a performative element to be found throughout all her projects.

Anna Kubelík has been raised in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the USA and Austria. She studied in London and currently lives and works mostly in Germany. But members of her family are famous musicians from the Czech Republic. At this moment she has an exhibition together with Matthew Hawtin and Oliver Schmid at drj art projects in Berlin Schöneberg, based on her ongoing project of Well-Tempered Hygrometer.
